New Inn Mummers Festival kicks off on January 23, 2010

The annual New Inn Mummers Festival, which was postponed because of the bad weather, will now be staged at the New Inn Leisure Centre on Saturday January 23rd.
The postponement has forced the committee to reduce the Festival to a one night event this year. This will mean that the Senior and Junior competitions will both be staged on Saturday night.
Festival Chairman Michael Mullins says the Festival will start at 7pm because of the enlarged programme.

“Patrons will be treated to a feast of outstanding music,song, dance and storytelling. We are disappointed at having to condense the event into one night but we are delighted that our 32nd Annual Festival will go ahead. We know that our loyal supporters are really looking forward to the event. They will not be disappointed as many of their favourite groups are performing again this year as well as an exciting new group from the Fohenagh area.”
