Galway Garden Festival to be held in Claregalway Castle


The 1st annual Galway Garden Festival will take place at ClareGalway Castle on Saturday 10th and Sunday 11th July 2010. The Festival will be open from 11am to 6pm on both days and catering facilities will be provided on site throughout the event. Amongst those who will speak at the event are:-

Dr. Matthew Jebb, Botanic Gardens Dublin. (SUN, 3pm)

Mr. Tim Robinson, writer, cartographer. (SUN, noon)

Mr. Gordon D’Arcy, Naturalist. (SAT, 2pm) (Bring pencils & paper!)

Dr. Cilliian Roden (SAT, noon)

It is expected that between 30 and 40 specialist nurseries will attend and provide and opportunity for visitors to purchase rare, unusual and special plants at reasonable prices. In addition to this, retailers providing Garden Furniture, Pots, Sculptures, Ormaments and Tools are also invited to participate.

All profits from the gate entry will be donated to Christian Blind Mission, Ireland.
